Imagine you in there just trying to watch the movie and some nerd Stan stands up in front of the screen and starts doing mj dances

Corey Feldman's music career being complete MJ cosplay is insane
Jaafar is the best MJ we will ever get. Can't believe it was his acting debut.
Can't wait to see this tomorrow. I hear that Jaafar did a stellar job.
I’m at the theater and they are playing his music out loud in the theater lobby
I’m actually not watching this movie today, but it’s wild to see the hype for this. Never seen a theater bump music in the lobby before

I will say I had no idea about that MTV thing. You mean to tell me that MTV through the 70s and 80s was not playing black artists?! What the hell were people watching on MTV lmao
Like did they really have to convince MTV to play f***ing Billie Jean or Thriller on their channel?? You helping MTV by doing that

Really great interview with David Bowie from 1983 where he straight-up asks the MTV interviewer about it

What is he seeing in theaters if not MICHAEL WITH T MOBILE TUESDAYS 5$ ticket
this is why I didn’t want to go for the opening weekend but that $5 ticket made me be like f*** it lol
5$ ticket with t mobile ?
that fabio jackson guy is f***ing weirdo
Why was he invited to the premiere
I hear a lot of people say this but how on earth are they gonna go into detail about every single aspect of his life without making it a thousand-hour movie? It's not realistic to expect that level of detail. There's a lot of documentaries about MJ divided into several episodes which allow for more detail. I don't think a big-screen movie like this one is the format for the level of detail we may want.
Edit: Whoops. I quoted the wrong person. I meant to respond to those who say that the movie sped through/skipped parts of his life/process/people who mattered/didn't go deep enough.
That’s very true. I think critics are being a bit too dramatic because in the end there’s just so many details about MJ’s life to fit into one reasonable length film. I hope in the next one they develop Individual identities for the other Jackson’s and build on Michael’s relationships with them.
So many people in the theatre were dressed up as well. Felt like one big party with the way everyone was dancing.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a movie that had people standing up and dancing for like 30+ minutes.
