In the grand scheme of things he's a B-tier rapper at most, doesn't have any outstanding albums in particular and hasn't been influential like that.
Teflon Don and Deeper than rap are classic albums
Facts
D**** killed his creativity imo it wasn‘t the same anymore after TES
Encore had some good moments but was already mid and aged like milk
It's wild bc so many people think he was "better on d****" but the d**** really f***ed him over tbh. Bro wasn't sober from 99-02 but he wasn't a junkie either. The junkie era gave us Encore lmao

Bro said no outstanding albums when Port, Teflon, God Forgives & Mastemind exist
Also the Black Dollar & Rich Forever mixtapes which are some of the best mixtapes out there
I think I may have been the only person who likes Coloring Book more lol
Me too
If he ends his career at Recovery he has a solid discog, that's over 10 years
MMLP2 is a good record
B tier rapper specifically within the context of commercial rappers, I'd be lying if I implied he's on the caliber of Jay, Nas, Pac, Big, or even Blu (I hate his music but immensely respect him as a person and emcee), but you get my point.
Guess I'll agree with him having one of the best labels
I’m a Blu fan but Ross is above Blu on an all time list, Teflon Don isn’t ross’ only shining moment, he has a consistent catalog with God Forgives and Deeper Than Rap being other standouts
Blu’s consistent too and is better lyrically, but Ross has the better voice/delivery and more impact and staying power
I feel like you were doing some of these artists dirty a little bit lol
mid to decent, I think T.I. earned more respect than that, he’s at least firmly in the good category, if not great
With 50 and Snoop, like yeah they were 1 album wonders but even though they weren’t that consistent, and their full catalogs might be mid, calling them “mid to decent artists” seems wild lol it feels like a different thing in their cases. That’s not mid artists having shining moments, that’s amazing artists peaking early and trailing off. Not to split hairs
these dudes are legends
Go back to reddit, b****
I think I may have been the only person who likes Coloring Book more lol
I did too
I’m gonna zag and say Talib Kweli. And I’m using mid to decent literally not as a form of diss bc I think he’s decent. Maybe it’s because of the Soulquarian circle Kweli is attached to, I used to put him in the same league as Mos, Common, Thought, etc originally but I think he fooled me.

Mid to decent? That’s why he’s selling out tours and dropped one of the biggest rap albums ever after this?

The guy that cyberbullied a girl on Twitter for two years so much that his wife divorced him?
I agree with the artist mentioned but BTI is the furthest thing from a moment of brilliance
man I expected weed carriers and one hit wonders that maybe had a few good songs but y'all are posting legitimate legends itt
