that scene with his son when he asks about st patrick he was spittin

can't speak much on muslim representation since im not muslim but everything about that character and story felt super authentic to me, seemed like a lot of care was put into it from an outsider pov

I'm glad this has a much more cinematic look to it rather than the bland prestige TV aesthetic his last couple series unfortunately fell into

Just finished. I thought it started out creepy and great but ended up being absolutely terrible. Might be my least favourite of his work tv wise... Bly Manor being a close second.

Some of the writing (esp the monologues) and acting are shockingly bad.

ngl i kept feeling like this show didnt have a great scene like that oner in haunting of hill house

but then ep 6 happened

ep 6 might be my favorite thing flanagan has done so far
