tupacartii just think hyperpop is an umbrella term, it's been fickle from the start. like i saw somebody on here say popp hunna was hyperpop once and that's when i realized there's no point in even trying to really pinpoint it, that's why i put it in quotations
but i think the main sound if there is one is definitely electronic based and more loud and abrasive like MTR

well the producer did use futurebass sample pack
you might have point but I wouldn’t think it’s hyperpop since future bass isn’t really hyperpop genre

yungkingI'm pretty sure Charlie XCX did it first but this one probably the most attention.
hyperpop has kinda turned into just meaning pierre style drums with bright edm style synths.

it's 100% not a genre and I've always said that
and all the songs posted in that thread contradict what a genre is like i've said herelook at somebody like Glaive or 8485 who don't make anything that you listed but are heralded as some of the main people in hyperpop
