Smacked VoodooLowkey Blond. I don't really see what DAMN influenced, it was just Kendrick but more streamlined.
With that being said, I feel like GKMC and TPAB even, were more influential than both Blond and DAMN.
TPaB was influential from a conceptual basis ..I see a lot of TPAB in Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Solange’s ASATT thematically along with Cole’s KOD and This is America..

damn got a pulitzer but blonde speaks more true to how people are feeling in the 21st century / social media era IMO
damn feels like a collection of vignettes of kendricks experiences, some structured in the story telling of his earlier albums, some more so just good pop songs
both are a little overrated imo

tons of artists said they used it as inspiration for their albums (Kendrick on DAMN. or Lorde on Melodrama)
also spawned a ton of people who follow the atmospheric indie pop-ish sound on it (Choker, Sunni Colon, Inner Wave)
i could argue that the stripped back and meshed together lounge sound used by Solange on WIGH is Blonde inspired

Feb 24, 2021Blonde easily. It seems like bedroom pop was permanently altered by it. Plus, every time I listen to study beats with a guitar on it, I just hear Blonde. There's even a cover of Self Control that's floating around on those Spotify playlists.
Hell, I hear Blonde influence on PRIDE.
