Flashback to 2009: one of the worst years in hip-hop history. You had some great albums(MOTM, OB4CL2, Born Like This) but overall it was bad. The Ecstatic marks a late-career cult classic in Mos' inconsistent discography. The production on this album is bonkers, even in 2020. Lyrically it's Mos' best since Black on Both Sides and even the rap features are amazing(Slick Rick, Talib Kweli).

I just bought a CD copy off the internet for like $11, and that's the cheapest I've seen it tbh. I heard there's some label drama but idk if thats true or not

Definitely stands the test of time. I prefer BoBS(that's my top 10 album OAT) but this is up there.
