NDL DOOMDon't wanna victim blame, I'm sure their are some nuances and aspects to this scenario that I'm not considering, but 16 years old is more than old enough to at least attempt to find ways to sustain yourself if you see that relying on your own parents isn't working.
I'm not able to read the article, is the kid disabled? Mother definitely deserves some kind of punishment for this, but God damn!

Guys, honestly I blame myself for this, reading back my first post now, I understand why what I said got interpreted the way that it did. I admit that I sound really stupid, insensitive and dismissive, despite preferencing myself and admitting that I wasn't able to read the article and not having enough context on the scenario.
Hence the following sentence when I was questioning how a 16 year let himself get to that state. I should've worded it better and framed it more in the form of a question. I was trying to figure out if this was a Eugenia Cooney situation where the kid was already 98 pounds from the jump, then going to school everyday where he would've been around people and resources outside of his home. I even questioned if--
