🤯🤯🤯 Omg wait til you hear disco volante named after a evil villain’s ship from a James Bond film. It’s an appropriate lp title. When you hear “ desert search for techno Allah” it sounds like techno Allah in the desert In your room In a sandstorm. The band literally paints that visual. It’s like the spirit of Allah is summoned in a IDM ceremony. It sounds like they are chasing after Allah to ask him a question. 😳😳😳😳

First time I heard DV I was like “ are there Schizophrenic Musical maniacal eviL demons on my stereo? How the hell are 5 people In a studio able to follow each other like this? “ I still don’t get it. It’s like 5 Tasmanian devils just whirling around.

What’s funny is, their music was in every hidden corner in America because of Warner Bros Records domination. And to think there were kids that put this on a stereo in their living room. The parents are sitting there 😎: okay Steven. Let’s hear your music 👦: :plays dv 😎: First minute. Steven, where did you get this? 😳😳😳:jordamused:

Then you look in the liner notes “ send away for artwork we couldn’t use* and they weren’t joking.

That reminds me, I need to relisten to DV , have to get ready for the PPV Halloween show.

I think it must have messed up people in the head that this thrash metal act was so off the reservation Musically. Which is a odd place to be, a magazine isn’t going to rep for you if you basically Sonically open the box in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser.

I will put up the demo sets In a zip for you. 😎

I thought Bungle got the ska influence from Fishbone but them also being Oingo Boingo fans totally makes sense. Love that album; “Running on a Treadmill” and “Private Life” are great.

For sure , the influence of Fishbone is apparent. I dont think there is any way you could escape that. Columbia Records had them pumped in every college radio station in America.

You ever see the Angelo Moore 2pac rendition? Its crazy. he's a singing the verses and killing it. It's so creative because I've never seen anyone do that with Pac and to add Bruce Hornsby as well but include all the verses and sing them .

    Check it out:

    That delivery and that band

There's a great Fishbone documentary if you haven't seen that yet. It was released a few years ago and tells the whole story of the band.
