Look up the 1000 True fans theory

Men I’m watching that “Adult Rappers” documentary and s*** gets real at the time stamp 27:00

1000 real fans requires promotion to obtain them. It’s f***ing HARD to get 1000 true and devouted fans

Are they “type beat” producers? It’s literally impossible for any other type of musician to get that type of money unless they are signed and/or touring regularly.

Being a musician must be awesome. You literally live off making music and not have to go to a 9-5

You’d have to be very business-minded to live off of it; like they said in the documentary, it’s NEVER just about the music. Being a business man isn’t fun, lol

No, they are rappers and 99% of their income comes from streaming.

That 20k a year could easily turn to 1k a year to 0.2k a year (or even lower). So it’s good to have a backup plan no matter what. I’ll probably be forever CS, but I don’t need this music s*** lmao
