daw ain't even an issue tbh
I know that’s why I said maybe I shouldn’t say DAW. Only really mentioned it cus seems like FL is the norm and gets used the same
I think a lot the issues comes down to:
Same DAW
Same VST sounds
Same method of clicking in notes
Maybe I shouldn’t say DAW cus that’s just a matter of how you use it. But I think the same VSTs and sounds are being reused and I think when bedroom producers click in they notes it limits the creativity
No its just people usng the same 3 sample packs
Doesnt matter if u on a daw or sp 1200
This to be honest. Plus most artist and producers copy each other because it's the easiest way to make a hit, instead of creating their own sounds.
Pusha T - FIFA
live hard drums
What’s that what’s that
Like remaking the drums with your mouth and ptting it on top of the actual drums lol
(Ill post the link to where I get some sounds later when I find it)
Nah keep them heavy 808 drums, let the nerds go listen to Tyler or sum lol
Tyler does these drums too

Oh lmao bro I thought you was talking bout some plug in called “beatboxing”
That method works tho?
Nothing beats Compressed live drums with drum machine sounds sprinkled in
Best drum machine sounds in your opinion?

It can give intersting results imo like sounding more organic and original

So basically you saying record live drums, and then layer them with drum machine sounds after

I feel you. I don’t have access to live drums and wanna figure out the best way to program drums to sound like they are live.
I already know about groove and swing to give it that human feel. But more so the best sound packs to utilize and other techniques to achieve that sound

One thing I like to do is to change the velocity of my sounds for it so sound like it was played by hand Ith different accents

Also any method you kinda have with velocity?
Im on Logic/Garageband I usuzlly set a velocity fork for each perc sound and do some slight variations
You have any songs to share ?
Btw the site where I find my drums :
909s, Taiko style drums (might sound hard if done right), drums similar to the ones on law of attraction
So basically you saying record live drums, and then layer them with drum machine sounds after
That’s what I think sounds the best. It ultimately comes down to programming/sequencing/mixing properly for drums to sound good but that sound is hard to f*** up
Battery 4 has some really cool kits. When I’m tired of trap drums and trying to switch it up I use that. Also trap drums are changing. Like pierre 808s are the norm now but before it was always sub bass with a hard kick
The only guys with a distinct sound rn is wheezy and Jetson in the mainstream, everyone else is copying those dudes
Doubling drums with beatboxing
