in recent years we have seen just how powerful narratives are in our world today
how can we ensure that the stories being told are based on truth?
how do we keep Hip Hop real?
here is an example of a narrative in hip hop today
"Pac wasn't that great technically speaking"
a lot of people today see these statements posted and take it as their own
how do we ensure people listen for themselves and find the truth?

"The concept of mumble rap"
"Mumble rap doesn't exist it's an arbitrary label created by outsiders of hip-hop. It's one thing to not like an artists output but when it became an issue where these white bloggers and corporate publications started insulting black art on a basis of intelligence they lost me. Uzi, Carti and Yachty are all lyrical rappers but what made niggas like Hov, Pac and Kendrick special is they went above and beyond. That can't be expected as the only standard though. Most of these young dudes can flow on old school beats anyway see Trippie Redd, XXXTentacion and Lucki." - @BLKAMRCNPSYCHO
Perception is reality. Your truth is someone else's wrong opinion. Can't stop opinions from being given
"this is a good thread"

you don't see a problem with people not forming their own opinions though?
my issue isn't with the statement
it's the people who haven't actually decided for themselves
“Drake is good”
tell me why you feel this way
i wanna discuss this seriously
"Nobody listens to TPAB irl. Go outside."
"Illmatic is Nas's only good album."
"Eminem is only popular because he's White."
"Views is a classic."

I accepted people as sheep. Introduce relation in a few and suddenly everyone pees at the side of the toilet to make less noise.
You're really bothered by that thread
Jesus christ dude some people like Wayne better than Pac.
You got to stop caring so much about other people's opinions
tell me why you feel this way
i wanna discuss this seriously
Bruh he’s been phoning it in for years now. He used to actually sound like he wanted this rap s***, and his singing wasn’t perfect but it definitely portrayed a lot of emotion. Just feels like his stuff these days is devoid of life but the hype just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I could stand it if it was maybe just an outsider Twitter Stan type thing, but ktt is straight obsessed with this man like he actually is doing something besides constantly charting and selling well. The music does not resonate

Why do you think they don't decide for themselves? If someone doesn't think Pac was all that you must think it was because of someone on the internet? it's that unbelievable to you?

why do you assume people who think this aren’t forming their own opinion

Songs like Jaded, Not You Too and Time Flies aren't devoid of life
And BB King, When To Say When and War show he's at his peak rapping ability
You're seriously not listening because you're speaking cap right now
The “there’s no good music rn” people who only attempt to listen to what’s put in their faces

i get what you mean
and i would have agreed
with you some years ago
when views dropped especially
i like a lot of people tuned into
joe's podcast and my thoughts were similar
years removed from that
and in going back to it
i'm finding that i resonate with it a lot
same with More Life
the pusha beef was a massive L at the time
and i HATED scorpion when it dropped
(the chopnotslop version
is fire though i've discovered)
but it was dark lane demo tapes
that fully brought me back in
songs like not you too and
losses are prime drake cuts to me
and i get the sense that CLB will be the return to form that you're looking for
in conclusion
i feel you
and i appreciate you having your own opinion
i hope you enjoy his next release
