Truthfully, I think Nathan has very low emotional intelligence (he's autistic, and I don't mean that as an insult in any way). He's a very nice person, but I don't think Nathan has ever considered that what he does could be emotionally harmful to the real people he's using.
He's clearly very self conscious, I'm sure he's aware of the discourse currently surrounding his work, and I would imagine he's reflecting on the things he's done and where he may have gone too far.
If we ever get another season of this, or another show where he uses real people, I bet Nathan will address these accusations directly, or at the very least change his tactics to be less manipulative.
i couldn't tell if this was real or just a mockumentary.. like are these real people and not actors?
if they're real people then wow.. just figured the subjects were actors

Bro just wanted funnel cake
Dude made anti semantic remarks and Nathan said f*** him
Says he should Google about it and when he does and the answer is not what she wanted, she turned it to Google being controlled by the devil?
I just caught up with the show and man this is some wild television. Nathan Fielder is a madman

this is so common for a religious person lol my mom in her own way was a similar to this
we still celebrated halloween and s*** though lol
i have truly never seen anything like this and in awe of what nathan has made here
idk how to really review it lmao
this is so many levels beyond what anybody has thought of lol
feel like this show is gonna get a lot of backlash for being cruel. Nathan For You already had a bit of that but this last episode took it to the next level
making a guy, who was really close to his grandfather before he recently passed, befriend an old man, have a much needed bonding experience, change the man's diapers, and then mourn his death before getting into another dispute over a will is a pretty emotional toll to put on a person already going through it lol
wonder if dude was so shaken emotionally he had to dip or got to googling and realized this weird awkward guy Nathan played him into wiping a stranger's ass
hope that scene wasn't real btw
either way this has gone too far. I'm all for the hijinks and the main concept is still funny, but my entertainment shouldn't have to come at the cost of another person's emotional wellbeing
#CancelNathanFielder
You know what, I hadn't thought about things from this perspective. It certainly borders on the unpleasant. Like, the scene of the man having a breakdown, I deduced that he didn't show up anymore because as Nathan said "sometimes rehearsing is enough", but it's perfectly possible that it could have been something more serious, as you said. Imagine finding out that you were the victim of a prank where you exposed a fragile emotional side of yourself at the expense of being manipulated, and ultimately mocked by an audience. Something to think about for sure.
one more day until this blassic continues
fam when they moved the whole bar to Oregon just for the f*** of it even though it didnt fit in that warehouse right lmao
