I mean but sticking to the bit didnt even benefit her majorly she lost all the money and fame. She is serving prison. She was the face of it while the indian guy is forgotten about name wise. She still is trying theranos 2 rather than accepting she is a drop out and average intelligence unless there is something I am missing. I dont view her as some super liar genius. I view her as likely on the spectrum and out of touch with reality due to her development years being in terrrible relationships.
one part my theater laughed a bit too much at was
when her dad talks about her experiencing rape changed her
THEY WERE LAUGHING THEIR ASS OFF AT THAT. Its like I GET IT she isnt a perfect person by any means she is guilty blah blah she lied defrauded investors but a lot of what my crowd laughed at wasnt even the parts that were funny some of it was just seeing nathans face they would burst in laughter and its like bro chill
I almost choked on my drink when he said that
felt like we were robbed of really hearing some real s*** there
nathan the absolute goat I will hear no arguments otherwise
Well… I don’t exactly know what Lance and Nathan’s goal is with this. I think that’s the thing I’m still excavating.
But as for Billy and Liz, I do think there was a goal here to rehabilitate her image. In the film, it’s not like Liz is saying anything that doesn’t align with what she has said publicly and on trial. She’s never going to say “I knowingly defrauded people.”
I dont think anyone expected her to say "I knowingly defrauded people and I deserve to go to prison". Nathan in the footage we have doesnt even make an effort to lay out the ramifications of how it affected the patients. Which to be honest I largely expected and was disappointed by the lack of it . Directly saying a patients name or story of how specifically her frauding affected their life or having them visit or having someone deliver that patients message acted by someone else. I again could care less about the executives that believed a college drop out
Indian man in prison regardless but she was the white woman face that everyone became fascinated by and was a prop of marketing. Which she knows she was a marketing prop and from the moments she cries throughout the movie you can tell it affected her more than just a "self serving naracisstic liar" that some went in the movie and left the movie wanting her to be. If she was just evil and entirely didnt care she wouldnt be crying at certain things gain unless people think she is crying like that and getting upset on command
which if you guys do then give her best actress.
for a 3 hour movie it felt like it ended too soon
couldve easily sat through another hour but I guess we were never really gonna get a clean ending like we wanted
What if Nathan for you was lying too?

To your first paragraph… is why like I said, I think there was a goal that Liz and Billy had going into this. I mean they were attempting to rebuild the company too, is that not some form of self promotion they thought they would be able to do as well?
I think the motives for everyone involved should be interrogated. Why was Nathan, of all people, chosen to by Billy and Liz to make this doc?? They said they watched the gas station clip from Nathan For You and that’s it??
the whole argument over "can" and "capable" made me think for a while maybe she didnt do anything wrong
still not sure what to make of her. like I think she did a lot of lying but maybe she really believed her own lies.
didnt really care about the whole money aspect albeit the whole section was wildly entertaining. like I kinda assumed anyone appearing would get something but I guess I never really thought about the conflict of interest in this specific type of doc.
amanda seemed kinda gullible thinking billy was manipulating her. im with nathan in that they seem perfect for each other lmao not to mention theronos was all before she met him

rebuild the company felt like a redemption path for me more than a get rich quick scheme at least from the person going to prison for the 1st attempt. From Billy thats up to you to decide.

Fix spoiler tags but I think at some point in time she was told the fake test results then they likely amended to the real test results. Then she felt she was in too deep so made lies yes
why is the f***ing spoiler not working
you have to add bars after doc and before that name.
Its the spacing it doesnt like there
second 5 of the year

I mean it works as both. If they can make Theranos 2.0 work then maybe it wasn’t all for nothing. Either way, its inclusion in the doc means something.

I agree it does mean something and its one of the most interesting intreviews in the doc that gets cut short by someone they didnt even need to have in the room
once she goes to prison we didnt even need Billy but we just had him to get access to other people we wanted to talk to
when billy said he had a gun on him
how tf they keep this a secret for 3 years
how tf he do this while getting his pilots license
never seen such a dark d\*\*\* on a white guy
it dirty I was thinking that too he cant be pure white
this 100%
BROTHER IT SOUNDED LIKE AVENGERS ENDGAME IN MY THEATER
