Obviously you don't have an actual argument... which is why you can't substantively respond to anything.

It's not a brag.. it's the context and the context matters.
Yeah he had a 3-2 lead against a superior team... is it choking if you lose to a team no one thought you'd beat? Is it when you're without your 2nd best player and the other team has multiple superstars?

People did mention the Heat injuries, but the Heat were viewed as overachievers.. praised for simply getting where they got because they didn't have anyone on the level of Harden on the team.... all-time great players end up taking the bulk of the blame for losses even when the odds are against them.

The argument for Harden being better is that he does most things on the court better than Wade and he does them more efficiently.... @mvp @diplomats this guy

Harden is a better scorer by far, better 3pt shooter by far, better FT shooter by far, better ball handler, better playmaker by far...

Wade is a better defender yes, here's your ball IQ lesson:

Elite individual offense is more valuable and more impactful than elite individual defense from a perimeter player every time...

In this case with Harden... we're talking all-time great level offense...

Harden on your team elevates them to one of the elite top flight offenses in the league if not the best... Just having Wade doesn't make your teams defense elite and it doesn't make your teams offense as good as Harden's who raises your teams offensive floor and ceiling... The Rockets with Harden in 2018 had the #1 ranked offense in the NBA and that was with Cp3 missing a ton of games.... The Nets with Harden currently have the #1 ranked offense in NBA HISTORY and that's with KD missing a ton of games....

When it comes to the elite offensive players... Wade wasn't "stopping" or shutting down superstar offensive players nightly or really ever at all...

You ever hear the saying? "Great individual offense beats great individual defense?"

Sure he can make it harder on them, but his elite 1v1 perimeter defense does not mean much without strong team defense.

If you look at both ends of the spectrum.. You'll always take a Curry, Kyrie, or Dame.... Over a prime Shane Battier, Marcus Smart, prime Igoudala... every time.

All 3 of those guys are factually much WORSE defenders than those other players are BAD offensive players.... And they're all worse than Harden at his worst.

Harden hasn't been a bad defender in 5+ seasons...
He's been a positive on that end for a while now and is elite in the post where he's defended quite a bit over that time span in a switching scheme.

Harden also has more shots blocked than every guard in the league since 2014 and he led the league in steals just last year as well... To claim he's a zero on that end or even a net negative is an absolute falsehood as the numbers simply don't support.... The only thing you have is memes and clip comps from 6+ years ago that don't tell anywhere close to the reality over the course of a full game or seasons.

Yes defense does help win championships... BUT that is TEAM defense...

Some foolishly think perimeter defense has a similar value or is equal to perimeter offense, when the value difference is closer to 3 or heck maybe even 4 to 1.... The opposite can be said when referring to big men and interior defense.

The center spot is probably the only position where defensive worth is comparable to offense and it very well may be more valuable there.

When it really comes down to it.. Defense especially on the perimeter is very team based(good rotation, recovery, help defense) much more so than offense, where a single elite player could carry an offense. The Jazz have multiple guys in the top quarter of the league in many defensive stats in large part to Gobert(#1 in defensive winshares)

This is not the case though when talking about perimeter offense and perimeter defense.
