  • Jan 7, 2022

Pay off the balances and cancel the cards. Don’t spend money you don’t have.

Don’t pay it off all at once, pointless. You need debt to continue to build credit.

Take 2500 out of savings and distribute that to your current loans.

Then going forward, starting paying multiple times a month for each card.

You’ll see a dramatic increase over 3 months without spending too much of hours savings.

How the f*** do yall have 50k in savings at 21?

This has to be like the 3rd thread now where I’ve seen someone “struggling” with a casual 50k

  • Jan 7, 2022

Cap. If u have that much money at that age you wouldn’t this stupid. Unless you inherited it, then my condolences.

  • Jan 7, 2022

Lmao guys should I pay my debt off or just let it hurt my credit ? Deadass I only have enough to pay my debt off 5 times over

  • Jan 7, 2022
    le epic poster xD

i think for a good score you want to keep a balance of ≥30% available credit on each card

    50% tbh.

Yeah, I left a balance on my cards but I paid more than the minimum amount due. I'm just going to pay small amounts multiple times a month.

    bait thread

  • Jan 7, 2022

Best to pay them off. Just use it throughout the month and pay it off.

Use the card with the best benefits. I.E. travel, cash back as your main.

No, do not carry balances on your cards. That is not good debt.

Good debt is car loans, mortgage, personal loans, that you are making consistent mo they payments on.

Credit card debt is not good debt

It was mainly due to buying stuff to resell and after I sold the item, wouldn’t pay back the credit card or use that money for bills and it would just be a continuous cycle….really stupid…I’ve stopped using the cards and have been making payments but that interest makes it seem like I’m never gonna get out of that hole

Lol just open an account you dont even have to use it. Sooner or later you're gonna need loans for mortgages or a car and you will have exactly 0 credit score

Or if you're capable of common sense, just treat it like a debit card and use it to pay for whatever you want as long as you actually have the money

Ok, then don’t ruin your credit at 22 by carrying balances. Best thing to do is pay off every month and start building a good history.
