IN FACT bowie said this about watching neil improvising long jams with crazy horse when he saw them live in 1996:

they were playing together at neil young’s bridge school benefit a charity neil put together in 1986 with his wife to which partial proceeds benefited the bridge school, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs as neil young’ son ben young heavily suffers from.

one of the thrusts of the program is the use of advanced augmentative and alternative communication and assistive technology.

agree with this it’s a very satisfying progression, I wouldn’t start with the mid 70s albums personally you def gotta get acquainted and work up to that stuff bc it’s just so incredible
