have not watched (and do not intend to) but have read the plot summary and about the more controversial moments of the film.

I think it's very obvious that at its core the film strives to be something like a modern day Kids, and based on its summary I think it is in a lot of ways. I think scenarios similar to those in the film play out with kids of that age every day and they're exacerbated by the influence of social media. I also think that if the film were to exist in a bubble where it solely served as a depiction/commentary of/on those things it would be fine. However, the reality is a lot of sickos are gonna see this s*** and we know exactly how they're going to treat it and for that reason you simply cannot produce and release something like this and it's incredibly predatory to the kids who were cast to be in it because of that.
