He hasn't even matured as an artist.

Some of that s***shit he sings is cringe worthy.

I need a mature project from CB with some depth, songs about his experiences, not another formulaic f*** song.

    Just my opinion

    THANK YOU!

He needs a whole album of simp vibes

his talented but his talent stopped being projected on the charts post 2012

Daniel from dvsn is literally a better singer than Chris brown and the Weeknd but his talent goes unnoticed because he isn’t getting the right promotion. Like I have said this thread was about him getting big. I wasn’t talking about talent. Chris brown is the most all rounded artist no doubt

I don’t think he wants to be that big now bro. It brought a lot of bad s*** into his life before.

He literally does 0 promotion for his albums and his latest still went #1. No interviews, no ads, no bundles, nothing. Dude is just trying to make music, be a dad, and kill the stage more than any other living artist can

He just has a hard time dealing with media. He's easily triggered and isnt mature enough to deflect questions he's uncomfortable with.

It's to his benefit to avoid media he cant control. Ask anything outside of softball questions and you'll see the side of Chris Brown his team tries to hide.

But he's not more successful. His brand is tarnished.

He will never be what he was supposed to have been.

He's gotta get off the d****.

He was never going to be the next Michael Jackson and neither was Beyonce, yall need to get off that fr.

You can say whatever you want about his quality of his songs but it doesnt change the fact that he's one of the most successful artists of all time despite his image, so his career didnt need to be "revived" to the extent of being as spotless as possible.

Most of todays successful artists dont have spotless reputations publicly, that format is played out and nearly impossible in todays era since most artists have some dirt or something that can be twisted to look like it.

You’re clearly referencing the GMA interview.

Watch any interview 2015 and onward and see how well he carries himself. He’s articulate, open, and humble in every interview I’ve seen since then

Tbh your right! Okay this makes sense! I just noticed that he truly hasn’t promoted an album since fortune! Also he did mention that all the fame really got to his head and led him down the wrong path

    Good post bro

Because he only interviews in controlled settings where he more then likely dictates the line of questioning.

That NetFlix documentary was some media spinning bullshit

Drake is the ONLY artist to have an 11 year run and still being on the top!

In what way was that media spinning? He took full accountability for what happened on all those occasions. All he did was tell you that Rihanna would hit him back and that there was a history of abuse during his childhood.

Why were people saying he was the next MJ? I will give him this, he is one of the best male pop dancers in decades. His music has always been stale. He has had some solid dance bangers but that’s really about it.

He put a ceiling on his own success and that's after the industry was ready to forgive him for Rihanna.

He tried to hard to be a tough guy/gangster and that ignorance along with the d**** cost him a bigger bag as well as his legacy.

He's still young enough to course correct but he's too far gone to care at this point.

It's sad honestly. He's a once in a generation level talent.

He's a total package and he had the intangibles to cross all the way over on a global scale.

They tried to go pop with him but I think he's so caught up in being macho/gangster, he took his career on this weird gangbanger/singer/rapper path that scared the people who count in the industry away.

He still generates money and puts out single worthy songs but I always thought he had the potential to be so much more.

Also no one talks about how he has literally made the same types of song his whole career. Literally no growth in his lyrics at all or the way he presents his songs.

Look at The Weeknd for instance, he comes with a new type of genre that he has never explored with every new project

    THIS.

I said this before rapping, make sexual songs, and talking about violence in his songs is another reason he was blackballed
