Y'all do realize that what Orwell wrote 71 years ago is literally not that far from reality we're living in? It just struck me recently when I saw a feminist post about words such as chairman and manhole which need to be replaced with new words and then some Texas hotel which decided to stop using the term "master bedroom" because it sounds racist etc... Everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about, y'all have seen s*** like this left and right. I gave two examples but there are thousands out there.

Have you noticed people denouncing their parents recently on social media? Because I did, tons of videos. It just happened to be written 7 decades ago in a book called "1984" (turns out Orwell should've named it "2020") and it clearly depicts scenes where children as young as 13 denounce their parents for thoughtcrime.
Now the only thing left is for you to accept the harsh reality.

chairman, policeman, businessman changes make sense because gone are the days where only men would have such roles. it’s just logical to say things like police officer or businessperson etc.

I don't agree with Nathan Robinson on quite a bit but he makes good points here. This whole idea that we're living in some 1984 type society or even close or that orwell predicted s*** is just fantasy.
