The game is incredible but these side quests stink so bad.

now that i think about it more, the repeated playthroughs were actually pretty annoying in this. 2nd route was definitely required (and very much appreciated it), but the 3rd started to wear me out. could not imagine playing the same s*** a 4th time if i didn't make an extra save

you can just skip all the actual cutscenes on that 3rd one (with the obvious exception of the stuff that happens at the end). nothing new is added in the third one besides a couple conversations between characters.

i don't think i had too much of an issue when i was playing it, but i definitely wanted to get that s*** done asap lol. i had s*** going on in the background and just held forward the entire time to get it done

Yeah that s*** was actually annoying, I was on some real speed run s*** on my 3rd playthrough.

I can see that they learned from this in Automata by having you actually play a different character (also the gameplay being quite different with 9S being hacking focused) so it doesn't get too stale.

Honestly they could have just expanded ending B so you wouldnt require a 3rd playthrough

The main diff cutscenes are during the Louise fight and the final area

feel like people severely overexaggerate how depressing these games are. sure, these games are sad, but people act like these games are on another level of sadness or something

i'm sure a lot of it is just people memeing/the internet being the internet. maybe i just didn't connect with these characters as much as others (more so with replicant than automata, for me at least) or it might be because i knew the story before playing.
