Another reason I haven't felt the need to play is cuz it seems pointless if not a prequel in at least some regard

Lol I know some ppl don't really f*** with the automata characters even if they don't like thr game but I enjoyed all their stories

Also dont even know if I've got the mental stamina if this one has as much or more s*** to learn/collect/quests as automata lol

Yeah like deadpeg said theres a clear distinction between parts 1 and 2

But you'll need to do like 3 playthroughs of part 2 to get all angles of the story/endings. Worth it though. The story will hit you in the feels.

i kno this aint automata thread but i just started automata today i already know i am in for something brazy. i dunno how self destructing is gonna fully play into the plot yet, but the fact that i can turn it off from the get go and 9s basically responds with foreshadowing

The quest design in automata is f***ing annoying. I just failed 3 quests by getting too far in the story and it wasn’t clear at all I would fail them

edit: apparently it’s not a big deal, everything I did will carry over and I can just finish the things I missed next time

You unlock chapter select eventually too which will let you finish anything you missed

does it unlock after first credits?

No, not til the end of the game

Only ending A in like 14 hours. Maybe some time down the road i’ll care to get the other endings but the gameplay kinda bored me to where i wasn’t invested in the story at all until that ending.
