It was apparently banned because the President threatened violence against my tribe and his tweet was removed by Twitter for inciting/threatening violence.
Question why are the Fulani militants so aggressive against the south ? where does the beef stem from

Tbh I don’t know I would have to ask my father because he lived during the Nigerian Civil War. I would assume it’s because Igbos wanted to be independent during the Civil War and we probably killed a lot of them. There’s still Igbos today that want a separate Biafran nation and every time it’s brought up it’s met with violence and oppression.
I will never understand Ktt’s hate for twitter while at the same time f***ing with this site when it’s basically twitter 2.0. Every flaw y’all mention about twitter is the same for here lol.
F*** up. I’m gonna keep complaining about America. Social media restrictions are the least of my worries living here

It’s hilarious bro you can tell they have never been outside of the Western World. I’m literally telling them how easy it is here because I’ve lived in Nigeria and America and they’re telling me I’m wrong.
Ask any veteran who has been to Afghanistan or Iraq and they will tell you the exact same thing. Being born in this country is a f***ing blessing from God.

In addition to that, there is tribal politics just like in any other country. Some tribes are Muslim, some tribes are Christian. That leads to bloodshed and terrorism. Some tribes claim that Nigeria is their country. Others disagree which leads to bloodshed. And so on until we have a fullblown civil war on our hands.

He’s been president for 50 years???
He’s been president for 50 years???
Nahhh lol
He was a general in a late 60s coup that continued a trigger towards civil war
Took over the country by coup in the mid 80s and was head of state for a couple years during which time he was ass and jailed a popular musician (Fela Kuti) for no reason
Then somehow managed to become elected President and is f***ing up again. It’s a joke his election was taken as a win for democracy considering who his history. 2019 re-elections were defo cooked too
Nahhh lol

I try my best man lol. Nigeria (and Africa) ended up tying into my studies a lot more than I ever anticipated. Got grandma and fam still over there too so I try to keep up
Fela warned us about bruh too smh
I understand that Twitter is a plague on humanity, but this ban isn’t because Nigerians realized that. It’s because the terrible President is having a power trip over his threats being deleted

He was re-elected cause they guy before him was just as ass in terms of security (boko haram made Nigeria one of the most terrorized countries in the world under his watch). The problem is, buhari has managed to top him, with not only boko haram still being a problem but now herdsman-farmer conflicts escalating

They’re actually aggressive towards everyone. The biggest victims of their crimes are farmers in the north and middle belt. The violence in the south has a special highlight because it’s seen as more shocking.
Generally the violence stems from the fact that the herders feel entitled to land because of the increasing desertification of their previous grazing areas. They also feel emboldened by the fact that their comprise most of the nobility of the north as well as a disproportionate amount of power in the federal government
