I repeat, its crazy to start off a conceptually good post about not getting news from Twitter with some insane ranting about the CIA propaganda machine and state media labels.

Literally seething that state controlled TV networks that operate as literal propaganda arms of their government get labeled stated owned media while NPR and BBC are considered to have highly factual reporting.

You shouldn't get news from Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or any other internet forum because the oft chance that any of you will actually read the article, examine the sources, or pay attention to anything that isn't spoon fed to you is so low. If you actually read or investigate the s*** you consume then you're fine.

Most people just roll the dice on whether they're lucky enough to be on the right side of a situation or not regardless of what the actual information is.

And especially here, because its always the posters here who are the first to decry the most credible media organizations then they come posting the hottest takes from some literal random twitter account with 300 followers on global events as facts

Thinking exactly how the CIA wants you to think.
There's a massive problem in the west with how propaganda is perceived, his point on manufacturing consent holds very true to your response.

doing them a favor tbh twitter gives me brain damage

  • Jun 6, 2021

TB Joshua died today, would've actually liked to see how Nigerian twitter would respond to that news. One of my high-school classmates lost his mother in that church collapse.

Posts cases where the CIA has manufactured consent on Twitter.com specifically via bots and shills to enact a CIA enforced attack or stratagem on another country or on the American citizenry.

Labeling every response manufacturing consent or appealing to the amorphous strawman boogeyman you've conjured up in your head by utilizing the CIA's priors to make arguments is actually how conspiracy theorizing loons think.

You can make this argument with the freemasons and billionaire conglomerates and you would sound just as bad

Where do you get your news from?

  • Jun 6, 2021

Where do you get your news from?

I get my news from a myriad of sources. I don't just have one source I get news from, I can get my news from the NYTimes, Wapo, Daily Beast, Al Jazeera, The Intercept, Local News Stations, etc etc.

What matters if how credible the source is and/or the validity of the claims. If I'm getting news from an ongoing story on twitter, I want to make sure someone isn't shot gunning a 30 minute video into a 3 minute clip devoid of context.

    Etc etc.
The problem is most people don't do this. People will look for news that appeals to their confirmation biases that comes from their feed of people who all agree with them, read a headline or read an article from a dubious source and start spreading it.

People will share and repost random twitter posters who they saw kicking knowledge in the trenches of literal nowhere.

That's the problem. I have a subscription to the NYTimes and despite being considered highly factual by Media Bias sites, it doesn't change the fact that they're infallible. I've read a couple NYTimes articles I've found to be bullshit but thats just the name of the game. It's human error and while I might not always catch these things, I try my best to catch the things I can catch.

just came back from naija. honestly... jack dorsey shouldn’t have more say on nigeria than elected officials. controversial or not. twitter has run amuck with their censorship and now thinks they’re more important than world leaders. no one elected you. when you pick and choose what’s allowed to be said for a president that makes you more powerful than him. no country should allow that.

Ok so you don't have proof that the CIA is currently manufacturing consent on Twitter.com specifically via bots and shills to enact a CIA enforced attack or stratagem.

Ignoring the fact you didn't post a source for your claim btw, that isn't what I asked for.

Using the same line of thought

The CIA is engaging in manufacturing consent in order to get individuals to donate massive quantities of money to Palestinian relief funds.

The CIA also coordinated a largescale bot attack on Twitter.com by drumming up large amounts of outrage against Presidential Trump in order to put a damper on his reelection chances.

Also Qanon was right, the CIA imposed Kim Jong Un as leader of North Korea
    /s

If you can't see the issue with screeching CIA ad nauseum and wasting everyone's time than idk, stop quoting me.

What kind of conversation are you expecting me to have with "THE CIA IS MANUFACTURING CONSENT WITH BOT AND SHILL ACCOUNTS ON TWITTER" when you yourself have no proof of said claim?

(Not to mention, how would it even be relevant? You think there aren't CIA shills on other sites? How is Twitter bad for having CIA shills when you can just fill your *feed* with Chinese state media or Russia shills who cohabitate the same website?)

Half the anti America s*** KTT posters even post comes from obscure regions of Twitter. Massive cognitive dissonance coming from you guys atm

You may as well get mad that Reddit may have CIA shills despite s*** like r/Sino existing unabated lmao

They aren't using bots, that's not how manufacturing consent works at all. Like I said there's a massive problem with how propaganda is framed in the west. It doesn't have to be the clumsy pieces China and Russia put out, get that out of your mind.

Ok but what I asked was how the CIA was manufacturing consent using bots and shills on Twitter.

We know that the USA engages in propaganda. Almost every single nation does and nobody posting so far, disagrees with that claim.

However, I am not the poster who made this post

Which, and I quote, explicitly stated "Twitter is used by the CIA to manufacture consent via bots and shills"

And then went on some insane diatribe getting mad at Western media organizations to defend China and Russia, the reason Twitter even enforces a state media label.

This of course being the post I was actually replying to

And lmao at "clumsy pieces of China and Russia", as clumsy as they are. They work wonders considering how dumb Americans go around simping for China, posting 100+ page documents compiled by literal China shills on Twitter and Russia simps who will bend over backward to defend Vladimir Putin who is literally BTFO the USA by conducting a disinformation campaign every other week.

Also just state your grievance, you keep being vague. Say what this massive problem is and see if we even disagree with one another instead of interjecting yourself in a conversation you aren't really even following.

Bro are you f***ing serious? What’s the biggest problem in America right now?

In Nigeria our biggest problems are the fact that we have literally no infrastructure, poor sanitation, no jobs, we literally have terrorist attacks on a regular basis, and half of our country is below the poverty line.

Now what about America? Gun control? Abortion rights? Stop bro go to Africa one time and you’ll realize America’s problems are a joke.
