Dre never rapped better than he did on this album imo. His verse on Appetite For Destruction is as smooth as he ever sounded on the mic, and its a complicated verse to flow with that beat if you're just reading along. I find myself saying "damn Dre sounding like a real rapper" on this project more than any other Dre project.

We ain't giving enough credit to the villain though....he carried the group on this project, in terms of raps. Peak MC Ren

Figured I'd post this here instead of making a new thread or bumping an old one. But I never knew of Kanye's NWA/Dre/Eazy fandom. Cool to hear him speak highly of Dre and Eazy and dope to hear he was a fan since back in 88

"Kanye was introduced to Dr. Dre’s music at the age of 11, when he came across Eazy-E’s debut studio album, Eazy-Duz-It, in 1988. At the time, Kanye was still far from achieving his dream of becoming a rapper, but he was instantly inspired by Dre’s production on the project. “I remember hearing Dre's music before I really knew who he was,” he wrote in Rolling Stone. “I had a tape of Eazy-E's Eazy-Duz-It when I was 11 years old (until my mother found out it had curses on it and confiscated it).”

"Letterman then stumbles upon a graphic t-shirts featuring a photo of Donda West wearing a shirt that reads, "Kanye West's mom." Another is emblazoned with a photo of the late Eazy-E. Yeezy refers to the garments as "spirit shirts." "These are like a window to the soul," he says. "When I wear this Eazy-E t-shirt, I do feel the spirit of Eazy-E. When I have to go deal with some business meetings, Eazy-E was an original black business shark."

The Days Of Wayback what a way to finish the album. Another song talking about some real s***. As I said, the goofy ass/absurd songs overshadow the real s*** they were saying on this album

True, but I love that goofy s*** too tho

I'm a sucker for everything that samples / interpolates Rather Be With You. Doesn't matter if it's Pac, Beyoncé or that goofy ass NWA track

Oh I love the goofy parts too lol why I say its >>> SOC, cause I f*** with both halves. Automobile and I'd Rather F*** You imo are like The Beatles when they'd do some weird ass song on a ton of d**** lol Eazy's charisma on those tracks is out of this world, even if he can't sing s*** somehow worked
