It helps you in the long run if anything. Your glucose and grelin levels will be more balanced due to having a single consistent eating schedule every day
you also get to experience cellular autophagy which is only attainable by fasting, which basically just means cellular repair. there are only benefits to daily intermittent fasting, and OMAD is easily my fav fasting schedule

im guessing a lot of it has to do with the ketosis you’ll experience due to gaps between meals

Hormones play a gigantic role in the body’s ability to burn fat. It’s the reason why some people are genetically predisposed to hold more weight and genetic obesity exists, even though they may eat similar to other people

I’ve had way more energy for training and even on everyday routine tasks since I switched to a fasting diet
Started at 16 hours of fasting a day then 20 hours then 1 meal a day on most days and 20h here and there
It seems counter intuitive but not eating for long periods of time really gives u an edge. Heard someone say that it’s coded into our body since the cavemen back in the days didn’t have the opportunity to eat for days but they still had to have a lot of energy to be able to hunt. Kinda like how a hungry animal like a lion will be way more jumpy and active when hungry since his body has a high desire for food at that moment

I remember a period of like 2-3 weeks where I fasted 20/4, meditated 45-60 min a day, worked out a lot, ate the healthiest food and slept 8h a day
Going thru my everyday life like that was like playing w cheat codes lmao, I was feeling a constant state of contentment with my life and I was able to sit down and concentrate like crazy on things I didnt care that much about for long periods of time. Like I was able to sit down and study for my management class for 4h+ without ever losing concentration and it was easy for me to enter that state for anything else I wanted to lol

Like rn I still have some of these things in my routine, I know that putting all of the 4 major aspects together (8h sleep, 1-2h gym, 20/4 IF and 40-60 min meditation) by themselves will make me much more happier and successful in life but for some reason I just cant get myself to stick to it for long periods of time. It’s one of the reasons why I started going to therapy, to get myself to be commitee to a superior way of life (along w other other things obv)
