it has to do with personality, same reason aang sucked at earth bending at first cuz it was the opposite of his personality korra is impatient and rough so she sucks at air bending
Makes sense
I think korra fell into the same problem the star wars sequels fell into which is trying to hard to follow up on the original. A show that left so much free lore and was wrapped up so well doesn't need a direct follow up at all.
nah its cuz the side characters in korra are some garbage and this is coming from someone who likes korra.
mako and the other girl are such bland forgettable characters and they get a unnecessary amount of attention when korra is with tenzin or some other character that's actually interesting it's pretty enjoyable. the team in korra is just

Exactly my point tho. The new side characters just being less interesting versions of the old gang shows they could've benifited from just telling a drastically different story
There was so much potential in Korra man. But they wasted almost every opportunity
Korra trash af
Need a remake (animation or live action) to fix the mistake of a show

I can see a remake being rolled into the new live action show. I rather see some new stories or have the live action series include some of the comic stuff after the Ozai era.
What do you think of Korra as a character?
She's cool imo, she gets some good development and i like her mirrors with aang as a character. my main problem with her is that unlike aang her team is just garbage they're not good characters for her to jump of off and they honestly makes her look worse.
Aang and sokka might be bottom two for me as well
i never cared for sokka as a kid but on the rewatch i respected him a lot more, that man was able to make his own contributions to the squad with zero bending ability whatsoever, when his squad consists of the most powerful benders on the planet.
i agree that aang is probably near the bottom as far as main characters go though, still a great character but it felt like plot conveniences had to be made for him to complete his character arc, whereas with the others their story felt more natural.
anyone saying Korra is any less than average is tweaking. yeah that show is nowhere near TLA in most aspects, but how many Nickelodeon shows are? lol
i’m just glad we not only got to return to that setting, but we got to see old characters’ and their descendants and s***
it was nice for what it was
My nigga the show features flying buffalo and niggas who shoot fire from their feet and your beef is with the rapid development of steampunk technology over the course of just 70 years?
But how is it not logical?
Think about how much has changed in our world in just the course of 30 years. Hell, think about the industrial revolution and agriculture and how quickly we went from horse and carriage to the automobile and planes. All that took place in relatively less time in the real world so I don’t know how you could think it illogical that they were able to develop this technology in 70 years lol You were given no real frame of reference as too when ATLA even took place until Korra. So even if we are to think of Korra as taking place in this sort of post industrial revolution period or at least, right in the middle of it and minus that 70 years or so and compare that to our own progress around a similar time which is a period roughly around mid to late 16-1700s or so it makes perfect sense. We went from wind powered ships and horses to the automobile and steam engines in roughly the same amount of time. Of all the things you could actually gripe about with Korra, this just isn’t one of them.
Your sense of timing is off. We literally developed all that within the span of less than 100 years once the industrial revolution kicked into gear lol Hell, Tesla had WiFi before the computer
We are talking about 70 years dude. In ATLA, The inventor with the son in the wheel chair was already f***ing with steam power and selling weapons powered by hot air to the fire nation when they met him. The nigga even invented a primitive way of telling time. The fire benders themselves can literally shoot electricity out of their hands
You extrapolate that 70 years into the future with resources at their disposal and the threat of war gone so everyones attention can Be focused elsewhere, I don’t know how you can’t see that happening lmao
