It felt like the writers were playing with the idea and i was like
nah that ain’t it.It was actually conflict in the writers room over that. I forgot the details and who was on which side, but some people wanted Aang and Katara while others thought differently.

but i just found myself frustrated that aang was being a little b**** boy about killing someone who was literally trying to set the world on fire.
aang is definitely my least favorite character in the show i thinki definitely agree it was forced and stupid and Aang should have killed Ozai, but having Aang as your least favorite character is a hot take if ive ever seen one

I don’t hate aang but he definitely got on my nerves and made some of the woat decisions in the series.
And everyone else’s stories were so much more engaging for me personally

Least favorite character on the show probably. He was just extremely plain and a waste of space.
A lot of strange, but interesting decisions were made with Korra but creating a character named after Mako and doing nothing with him was bad.

They've been through S*** together, often understanding each other most out of the other characters.
That final scene was so cathartic and the only way to end the series.

I deadass thought for a bit they were gonna pull some bullshit like “aang and katara are meant to be best friends”
and have her and zuko get together because they relate with each other about some of their past and she’s attracted to the bad boy trope bullshit.Would have made the ending of the show so much worse in every conceivable way.
and keep in mind i wasn’t even against the idea of them not getting together by the end.
I just didn’t need it to be that way

Should i watch korra?
If you're just expecting more of the same ATLA vibes, don't. It's different.
But it definitely is an interesting show with some great moments. It expands on the lore in some unexpected ways, some very controversial. The villains are better, for the most part. None of them got Azula's drip though. Some of the more adult themes discussed on Korra also make for better discussion, a lot of gray areas, both in universe and out, creatively.
I think overall ATLA has more charm with both their characters and their environment, but Korra has a bit more to chew on, for better or worse.
It's worth checking out imo. You gotta RIDE through S2 though cause that s*** is mostly just trash, but kinda important for lore.
