There Will Be Blood. Coen Brothers are obviously amazing though w the fact that NCFOM is maybe not top 5 from them, but still potentially better than TWBB - which I suppose is also arguably a little off from Anderson’s best, but would still be at least top 3 for me
yea that’s not one of the options
same theme and that film is superior than both.

Doubt it, just for the cinematography alone which is one of the strongest points for both movies
Different vibes altogether.
Both so good in their own way. Not worth it to rank them against each other to me personally.

and Greed has great cinematography and bit of early use of color. For it's runtime and staying to the true to the novel is the most naturalistic film.

Doesn’t look that good off the trailer, seems like a snoozefest
No Country For Old Men
TWBB is very good but NCFOM brings the heat, gritty and suspenseful. The scene where he returns to the crime around early morning with the head lights is incredible

For a silent film.. ok whatever
Going into this thread I thought “easy, TWBB will edge it out itt” but nah, y’all niggas disappointed me. No Country ain’t even peak Coen brothers if we’re keeping it a buck but whatever 🙄
thats funny u make this thread , i just watched There Will Be Blood the other day. Honestly the more I think about it the more I like it but it's still not No Country for Old Men
some of yall really exposing yourselves calling twbb boring
idk why some people even bother watching these types of movies when they know its not for them
