TWBB I enjoyed what I saw but I kept dozing off

No country I’ve watched 3 times and my opinion has been the same, once lewelyn gets killed, maybe even a little before that, it gets kinda boring. The first hour is MUCH better than the second hour

I prefer There Will Be Blood it’s a fuller film

definitely No Country. i love TWBB but the thriller vibes of No Country def take the cake for me

Like most of Daniel Day’s movies, super overrated

TWBB by a pubic hair. Both mega masterpieces.

Fun fact they were shooting both films at the same time in the same area and the smoke from the oil derrick burn in TWBB spoiled a couple days of shooting for the Coens down the valley.

Seeing these in the cinema a couple months apart was unreal

TWBB basically started the process of having me look at movies in a different way

NCFOM is cool, but it ain’t that

Daniel Plainview is so tragic because he wasn’t evil. He DID yearn for family. He did love his son. He wanted someone to be close to, but he couldn’t do it

That’s why the ending is so tragic. When he rejects HW it’s truly over for him

The Eli scene is just the epilogue

He even cared that the girl (his future daughter in law) was getting beaten

And he recognized his own flaws (the competition in him)

He wasn’t a villain

Honestly Eli was more of a villain for being such a fraud and deceiving people

No country for boomers

Zodiac is a step below, but it's a small step. 2007 was tight

No Country For Old Men is a top 3 movie of the new century

I remember a friends review: you’re not ready for it

No country was fire

Both classics. I’m going with there will be blood tho
