It's easily top 10 for me
Why Scarlett always got that haircut? Is it a white feminism thing or something?

need to rewatch that one, didn’t leave a lasting impression on me unlike the others. Frances Ha is the only one i’ve seen multiple times cuz that’s a classic

I’m excited to watch. I’ve only heard good things. Scarlett fine and Adam Driver is great. So I’m in.

Top 2 & it's not 2
I thought this was amazing. Depressing watch, as it was all for almost nothing in the end...
Couple of things hit hard in this, everyday struff that's present in almost any relationship and isn't an issue in itself but in combination with other things it becomes a problem.
"You shouldn't be angry that I slept with someone, you should be angry that I shared a laugh"
I damn near fell to my floor when he said that s*** bruh, I kid you not
Like damn, how he know what we've been thru fam lmao

“follows a group of dysfunctional adult siblings trying to live in the shadow of their father.”
damn meyerwitz sounds like some succession s*** might peep
all the MFs saying that scene was “unrealistic” have definitely never been in a serious enough relationship to have an argument like that
You and your girl okay watching this together?
You and your girl okay watching this together?
yeah we loved it mane, prolly made it hit that much harder tbh
I enjoyed bits and pieces of this a lot. There are a lot of very good observations on the f***ed up legality and absurdity of some aspects of divorce. There are also some very well acted, heartfelt scenes that hit perfectly.
BUT - I wanted to feel more FOR the divorce... i wanted to agree that the divorce was the right move... but i didn't. I didnt understand why they wanted to get divorced other than scarjo's: "i feel trapped and i want to move to LA" Adam Driver's character didn't even have a family, you'd think he would fight for this one like "why are you doing this?!" or at least have some sort of heavy heart about the divorce itself. but nah - its like "you want a divorce? okay..." Maybe that was his attitude for everything and thats another reason she wanted to leave?
We don't get to see what the major issues were (they just drifted apart?) We get to assume there was a lack of intimacy when the cheating comes up ("i was sleeping on the couch by then") So i'm guessing there was also a lack of sex?
Don't couples have to live thru this all the time? giving up dreams to raise a family, giving up certain things to help spouse attain a goal. having separate independent professional lives but staying together for the kid (ESPECIALLY since there's no substance abuse or physical abuse or emotional) Both of them were like "Yeah f*** it- lets end this".

ScarJo’s monologue in Dern’s office was explicit as it could be
In the beginning, she says that he’s competitive and it shows that later in the movie when Nora’s grilling that ass
ScarJo pulling Tony Soprano moves from Season 5

i think that was a big part of the point of the film, whether or not the divorce was even the right move for them to make. i love how this film deadass just shows us the ups and downs of the end of a marriage and let’s us gather everything else/make our moral judgements on our own. i can’t stand when films try to shoehorn emotion or tell you how to feel.
Driver really had the biggest come up of the decade
i was talking to my wife the other day about this. wasn’t until i saw him in this that i realized he’s finna be this generation’s Leo or Johnny Depp type. dude has had SO many roles that he’s knocked out of the park already.

Girls, Star Wars, Logan Lucky, this and Broadway

Problem is Driver’s character is so thick headed and selfish that she wouldn’t have a life of her own without a divorce
Look at the black chick in the beginning who’s still working because of him
i have never seen a noah bombauch movie and seeing the fight scene where adam driver tells scarjo he wishes she was dead is so f***ing goofy.
feels like im watching theater kids
