I've never had a bad interaction with police, but I'm definitely wary of them because of what I see happening to other black people on television and the news.
A black man sitting in his house, gets shot by the police and then the police get away with it? That could be me or someone I know.
People do need to find a source of their problems, but we should look at what's causing the disconnect between the community and police (and why police are sometimes more likely to be harsher with African-American/Blacks.

But here's the thing.
We don't get equal chances. And that's why people feel that they have to do things that they shouldn't have to, because society failed to ensure the equal treatment that was promised to them.
Then, as a result of them doing the things that they should've never had to, they are judged because people believe they have "the same chance" when realistically, they never did.

But here's the thing.

But I know that. It's f***ed up, and the worst part it only keeps making things worse.
My mother has a shop in another place now, she always had a black kid working there. Now she doesn't have one because of the times she got robbed. I told her that is f***ed up, but she's old now and she won't understand. But you see where the problem lies? When both sides keep f***ing with each other things only get worse.
Now she's also part of the problem, but she wasn't. She was sucked into the problem. And if she's a bit racist now I can justify it. When she opened her shop she was always giving free soup even. She's a different person now because of the things she suffered there.
I'm just tired of this loop of hatred and pain. I can't stand having more friends in jail, or having my mother now being afraid.
