Nobody believes fat people should be discriminated against for hiring. Housing is a different matter if there are legitimate infrastructure concerns.
But, it’s not healthy to be obese. They should be encouraged to treat themselves better, the same way a mentally unstable person should be encouraged to seek therapy.

Young DThe whole “body acceptance” thing our current society has is disgusting. It’s a cover for people to be unhealthy.
No one should be proud of being unhealthy. It’s something everyone should strive to improve. I get that it’s tougher for some people because of genetics, but that doesn’t mean you should just accept it. Obviously making fun of people for their weight is not cool, but the whole mindset that people should just appreciate fat people for what they are and let them live their lives is just weird and detrimental.
Edit: this post is obviously not directly related to the article in OP, just a general observation about society.

i think a lot of people don't want to admit that it's not that "fat people" are discriminated against when hiring specifically, it's that a lot of hiring is done based on beauty standards/attractiveness, and obv the vast majority of people don't find fat people attractive. the same thing happens with men and height in hiring, since being short is perceived as unattractive:

Should they be praised? I mean no but they should be treated no less than anyone else. It’s like society forgets they are human beings at the end of the day lmao
For anybody in general, If you yourself are healthy you should mind your own business cause I’m sure they know they’re fat and if they don’t want to get better that’s on them and only them.
