Austin is expensive af and not equal to any of the other cities in terms of culture
As an nyc native who moved to Dallas I’d pick NYC if you’re an extrovert and Seattle if you’re introvert
Chicago is NYC-lite and more affordable
how are the winters in chicago?
thoughts on moving to Florida?
one of the dumbest decisions you could possibly make right now
why ?
when insurance companies are pulling out of a state that tells you everything you need to know
imo

Bro idk how people can think about just moving to a city like NYC or San Fran without a job lined up and a guaranteed place to live during a national housing crisis. Especially without connections in the city you're moving to, it's gonna be really hard to stay there

heres reports from ppl on the ground abt how f***ed insurance as a whole in fl is reddit.com/r/florida/comments/17x6hwg/so_how_bad_is_the_insurance_crisis
and heres some proper reports. its a combo of f***ed laws and a state that gets decimated by hurricanes every year. and the storms are only getting worse as there is more energy in the atmosphere due to human activity

I also think FL is just a s***ty place to exist as a human. The summers are unbearable imo, and I grew up in a fckn desert. But that unrelenting wet heat is soul crushing. and i see posts from the florida sub about people saying the heat right now is worse than they ever remember, and it aint even proper summer yet
Note that insurance companies also pulling out of places in CA as well due to a combo of fire risk and regulatory struggles. whole world in a handbasket and allat
