nigga made a statement so what

"system" aside ppl just want sum s*** to change and Obama ain't exactly contribute much to the situation with what he had outside of optics

Point being no matter how you feel about Obama people are gonna just overlook this while getting upset that they didn’t see a RAPPER of all people “speak out” like they really gonna affect s***.

I mean you kinda would expect Obama to say something

I think it's silly to expect the type of niggas that's out rn to be politcally saavy or outspoken but I'm not mad at attention being brought to it but s***s all a clusterfuck bc it leads to some people doing s*** performatively

IMO the rapper convo should be more about them not pushing these themes in their music and that s*** being looked at as "preachy" or lame when this is what we're really fighting...not a tweet or IG post

My point is that it comes across as if you’re one of those niggas that expected a handout and a free ride strictly because a black man was the president at the time.

He called the protestors in Ferguson thugs and armed the police with military gear. Obama was never down with black people.

Unsurprising that people on here hating on Obama and his well thought out response
Probably the same people who don’t vote and then b**** about elected officials

There isn’t some magic wand that can be waved to uproot systemic racism and Obama understands this better than most. He’s offering a viable solution on how to move forward and people don’t like it because it’s not cathartic or revengeful.

Nah. I remember being so proud when he was elected. My whole family was. He let us down the hard way.

  • If only he kept his campaign promises to make a real change

No man is perfect and it sounds like you gave him impossible expectations. If you can’t see the progress he helped push through then that’s on you.

  • The president has virtually no control over local police forces. Your local sheriff's are elected officials you know

Mostly common sense and canned politician rhetoric.

Him including this anecdote is revealing:

I saw an elderly black woman being interviewed today in tears because the only grocery store in her neighborhood had been trashed. If history is any guide, that store may take years to come back.

    Obama is a f***ing fed

I really don’t care what the man who sat back and let all this s*** happen just to do nothing about it has to say about s***. Dude was supposed to save us.

I’m not a fan of Farrakhan by any means but he’s made a lot of very interesting points about Obama.

  • All this man said was participate in your local elections of your state because people usually don't and these people matter in local issues. People want everything to change in a night. The world doesn't work that way.

You niggas really done turned on Obama. You hate to see it.

Stop lmao Obama was never suppose to save us nor was he ever going to. I swear it’s like you guys did absolutely dog s*** in government class. Nothing Obama did short of reparations or curing cancer was ever going to amount to the image of him and his family simply being in the White House. And if you spent 8 years hoping and wishing this nigga would some How wave a magic wand and end racism and uproot the community from poverty and oppression instead of educating yourself on the issues, organizing, and mobilizing at the local level, in your neighborhood, on your street, in your home then the problem isn’t Obama...

Not mad that Obama didn't change anything because politicians don't really change anything especially in America. Politics is bought and sold by people that can't be voted out and maintaining that participating in that broken system is going to fix anything is sheer idiocy. Trump is president because the system worked how its supposed to.

You’re assuming a whole bunch about me that you have zero idea about. He was the president of this country. The dude who had lawsuits for his buildings racially profiling tenants is doing more for Black Americans than Obama did. That is the problem.

No one expected him to “end racism” with a f***ing “magic wand” people expected him to be a good president.
