Random but do y’all think C3 aged well?
No, but to talk about C3 you have to talk about the context surrounding the album. One of, if not the most commercially hyped albums in Hip-Hop history that went on to sell over 1 million copies in a week when no one was moving units like that.
he did, people bring up influence and it's like.. does the influence matter if it's not a positive one
i think influence matters still to inspire a generation is something else
Also a lot of niggas itt confusing influence with popularity but that's another discussion
I think "pure rapper" and "Lyricism" may be the most overrated term we use to describe a good rapper. It does not matter how Lyrical you are if your 16 sucks and the song sucks.
I think this era of Hip-Hop is going to make discussions regarding legacies and lists incredibly weird
I f***ed with Wayne massively when C1 and 2 dropped, C3 I didn’t enjoy as much but I’ve grown to like over the years. Since then I don’t really f*** with any of his albums. But yeah I agree. People will say Kendrick is influenced by Wayne, and maybe in certain ways he is but his style is by no means directly influenced. I f*** with drake also but I feel their influence gets talked about more because they don’t really have that out and out classic that say a jay or a Nas has. I do think drakes music is far more enjoyable than Wayne’s though especially post C3
kendrick takes influence from a lot of different rappers but wayne def one of the ones he takes the most from. idk i still rate c3 and c4 highly so i still think wayne better when it comes to him or drake but i love both
Mfw you post the one Em critique that @op cant rebuttal because he knows that’s a f***in fiddact!
?
?
you saw my post saying Em gassed from doing s*** Chino XL and Redman were both doing for years.
Bro said “one of the few”
F*** outta here
you know how uncommon an S tier album is in general, let alone narrowed down to one genre ??? How many albums are illmatic status my guy
you saw my post saying Em gassed from doing s*** Chino XL and Redman were both doing for years.
well yeah i assumed it was a joke post. Didn't think you wanted a real response
If you ain’t got Nas over Hov after KD1-3, and Magic 1-3, you’re part of Hovengers n a d*** eater.

Hilarious seeing HOV/Roc Nation Stans on damage control after this run

as more time goes on the more i realize ranking artists is pointless outside of having a personal GOAT.
Nas should be top 3 based off impact alone.
Also nas best work hasn’t been eclipsed by 2 of the names you mentioned.
Secondly why remove Ye?
