Yall keep talking about discography like that means s***. That's your OPINION. I can sit here and say nas has been mediocre since Stillmatic, but that isn't the discussion here.

    Discography does matter.

You can’t be a goat rapper without a goat discography

In terms of quality, no. Drought 3 does. CII is debatable. In terms of greatness, IWW isn't that great. It did nothing for rap. IWW had to be revisited for the culture to accept its quality and even then it didn't do anything for rap. Just a fantastic album. CIII is on par with Illmatic in terms of greatness

IWW contains some of the best and most iconic hip hop songs of all time, the bars are immaculate and the music is amazing. C3 rapping is insane, but most of the music aged worse than IWW which is crazy because it was released 12 years after it.

Hes got a better case than most of that list so yeah lol

IWW birthed Lupe's career, plus it's the album that turned Nas into a superstar

Nah, it really doesn't. Rap tries to make this an exclusive thing but it honestly doesn't matter in comparison to other factors. And half the people here are going by their opinion on a rappers albums, not the consensus. Snoop has doggystyle and he's still consistently put in top 10-20 discussions with a lackluster discography.

you literally put Eminem on your list and then you talk about mediocre discography post 2001?

That's subjective. But if we are talking about album's greatness, Ready to Die and MMLP are just as great as Illmatic.

MFDoom has no case for top 25 let alone top 5

    Yeah cap

Most of this post is about the quality of the album. I already said it's fantastic. I'm talking about the greatness of it. CIII has a greater legacy and just as many iconic songs if not more.

When I say good discogprahy I’m not talking about having a only 1-2 misses. I don’t think that matters

Look at Wayne. He has a goat discography and a bunch of mid/trash albums.

One rapper citing this s*** means it the most important album ever now not to mention Lupe damn near influenced by everyone

Nas was never a superstar in rap. He was a star yes but that was because of illmatic. IWW sold off the strength of people anticipating it because of Illmatic. If IWW made nas a superstar like you say, the perception of the album wouldn't have to change a decade later. You don't know your history at all and it shows
