Is Song of Sage only on the Bandcamp site? Wanted to get the iTunes version, assuming it’ll drop in a couple of weeks?

I mean it is a dense album, filled with allusions and references. Heavy duty listening, no doubt about that.

I mean like even if I agree it is just forever corny to describe yourself as intellectual or intelligent non-ironically. IDM is forever cursed too even though it's become a useful label

Fair, yeah I get your point. Although you're not gonna be thrilled cause I've just seen that woods gives those tags to all his albums on bandcamp But, if one artist has earned the right to describe himself as intelligent its woods.

In case of IDM i do think it is unnecessary but in case of hiphop it can act as a good signifier. Lyrics are s huge part of hiphop and listening to woods does take active engagement to understand thise lyrics so I don't find it corny, although i did find it unnecessary as well but it makes sense.

My itch for that kind of rap is definitely scratched by woods and Elucid. Curly Castro’s aight, but I found myself pretty uninvested pretty quickly. Would rather just listen to Armand Hammer.

    Elucid’s production was excellent, though.

That's totally reasonable. I think I have a very similar mindset.
