I love the routine & split of PPLPPLx too much. I always go back to it over other programs over the years. I’ve dialed into trying to do progressive overload and and be and efficient as possible while I’m there though. I do my cardio outside the gym too
Fair enough but seems very injury prone to me
I do full body 4 times a week and i feel like im already overtraining sometimes lmao
Different strokes

What do you do split wise? I’m always open to trying new s***. Somehow I’ve been lucky enough to not get injured as long as I’ve been at it but it’s wishful thinking that I won’t get hurt eventually doing 6 days

So i basically do full body but with emphasis on certain muscle groups. For instance on monday i do 3 chest exercises, 1 lat or lowerback exercise, 1 leg and 2 or 3 arm exercises.
On Wednesday i do the same but emphasise back. On friday i empasize my shoulders and on sunday i emphasize legs
I try to do 5/6 exercises per muscle group per week. And then i try to split those muscle groups into smaller groups ( like front delts, side delts, rear delts etc)
forgot my straps at home, went to train back and actually felt like a steamroller was crushing my f***ing forearms.
Held my tears, but next time f*** it we cryin
remember the days..
id be listening to phil collins…
tears in my eyes…
fighting for a new life…
Progressive OVERLOAD
Add a 25 and do weighted pul ups and dips if you want that
Pinched a nerve in my shoulder blade someone help
i am going through this as of now how did you do it ?
It’s really a fine line you walk going 6 days a week and not overtraining
you stopped ? why
it sucks when you cant lift what you want because you still feel kinda injured my shoulder/neck still kinda bothering even after over a month and like 2 weeks off lifting and now foot is bothering me i am getting heal pain and i think its from standing all day at work
any one have tips on what i can do to make the pain go a way and stretches and exercises for the heel/foot
you stopped ? why
Nah it was just on my mind. I’ve been trying to take out some of the redundancy with my lifts and hone in on what I’m doing as much as possible when I’m there.
Like for instance I LOVE both db chest flys and cable flys, but I feel like doing both 4x8-10 every single push day (2x a week) is prob doing less overall than if I did like just incline db fly and upped the weight and focused on the squeeze & form every rep as intently as I can. Or did one for the first push day, then the other for the second. Cus I’m also doing s*** like incline press, flat bench, pec deck etc on top of that interchangeably yfm?
I just end up doing like 7-8 sets of s*** everyday and I’m like I gotta be running into redundancy that’s not actually moving me forward and not seeing it cus I love the routine/pump/etc with incremental progress strength wise

I doubt it’s exactly what you have, but plantar fasciitis stretches would prob help. I have a lacrosse ball I got for like $6 on Amazon I use for rolling specific places like my delts/heels that works too

My job is insane amounts of walking too, so I feel you. You can never go wrong with bro splits either idc. PPL might as well be a pretentious bro split if we’re keeping it a buck lmao. Especially cus I don’t focus on the big 3 as much as I used to when I was powerbuilding

ya i have one of those balls i bought i use them on my foot plus i have been going to the foot dr and she has been giving me stretches to do mainly the 1st one
how long does fasc last if you have it ? can it go away if you exercise and do the stretches

what do you do for your job? and since your walking a lot do you get pain on your feet after work

I had plantar when I was like 13 and once I started doing the stretches it went away like immediately. I just remember them now for whenever I get foot pain sporadically lmao
I work in busy ass high volume fine dining and I’m constantly carrying a lot of heavy s*** and running around. I usually hit 20k+ steps on busy days. For whatever reason tho I don’t get much foot pain though these days, they just calloused permanently over time. But I think the biggest difference in pain/discomfort is having inserts. It really depends on how your feet arch and s***. Certain type of shoes I need them and others I dont. But whenever I need them they’re immensely helpful

I do some of these before I run. Goated for sure

You start feeling like you never actually used your feet before lmao
did some weighted carries w concrete chunks and lifted one end of one of them concrete parking lot blocks a few times at the midpoint of my run this morning. nothin majorly intense coz I'm coming off a long hiatus but dam it feels good to be moving and sweating again
