I think it's just my gym having a high ratio of d***heads ngl but today I'm doing some db flys, and a guy benching comes up and asks for a spot so I'm like no problem I got you. he goes I'm going for 3-5 reps and he's doing two plates. now when I spot I'm not assisting unless they ask me to for assisted reps OR the bar goes down and you're obviously failing the rep, which is proper spot etiquette

he goes and does 5 basically perfect reps, no struggle, and goes for a 6th. almost perfect but nothing I have to help with. goes to rack, changes his mind and goes for a 7th. he goes HELP ME ON THIS ONE HELP ME HELP ME PUT HANDS ON NOW, even though this was kinda crazy yelling at me like that I'm like okay bet I got you, help him do an assisted rep for the last one hands on like he asked and again really no struggle. as soon as he's done I'm like that was nice bro good s***, dude completely ignores me and goes to change weight. I go for a pound cus this is mad awkward now and dude gives me the heaviest side eye dirty look with the most reluctant pound ever and says nothing. totally blew me off no thank you or nothing and was clearly annoyed. dude takes a 1 minute rest and goes to another dude close to us and asks him for a spot for the same exact s*** wtf did I do wrong in this scenario man

Nigga had 5 RIR and wanted assistance Tf

I didn't even mind the extra reps ! s***s fine but to act pissed and dismissive at me for no reason was so strange like I just took a few mins out of my workout to come help you and to blow me off like I did some s*** wrong just tilted me lmao

Yeah I’d say that’s true. First week is rough getting used to the deficit but the body adjusts.

Now after a few months on a deficit it does get harder as you deal with more fatigue. Making sure you get electrolytes helps fight the fatigue tho

biggest dudes wanting to be divas over gym is the oddest s***. not as bad as people treating gym as their living room leaving s*** all over though. i was so mad at the dude leaving his entire pants and shirts on plate racks and charging his phone and having his snickers bars and water bottles. almost started kicking his s*** around, too bad i didnt need anything near his machines so i could pop off and be right about it

yeah i've had some pretty drastic weight cuts like losing 20% of my body weight in a month and it got easy to maintain the deficit once i was hydrating really well and taking electrolytes

    How’d you do that

I found my basal metabolic rate with this calculator calculator.net/tdee-calculator.html

I ate maximum that many calories every day and made as much of my intake protein as possible and took multivitamins or whatever and cut out all sugar. Did chest tris, back bis, legs, and shoulders as my training split and ran a mile at the end of each day then twice a week i either did the air dyne or rowing machine for 3 3 minute rounds in addition to that. Played basketball on days i wasn’t lifting. Didn’t do anything on Saturday except for rest and take a long walk try to get 8-10k steps
