If ur skinny fat I’d say just workout, you’ll gain muscle fast because your body isn’t used to working out (noobie gains). You’ll probably lose weight too especially if you do some cardio at the end of your workouts. Don’t worry too much about bulking or cutting just focus on getting in the gym and becoming disciplined. Once you build a Good routine and consistency, you’ll really see results, and you can focus more on what you want to achieve.
how much should i eat tho? like I can eat 2200 cal without gaining weight. (no activity) and how much protein do i need? im new to this s*** dawg.
I wanna gin muscle but NOT gain fat.

You’re not gonna get fat, you’ll look fine man, since you’re new you’re going to be gaining muscle at a fast rate and you’re 100% gonna be in better shape than before. You can even eat what you’re eating now and gain muscle since you’re new to lifting, you’ll probably even slim down while building muscle. When I started lifting 3 years ago I was skinny fat, I worked out hard (6 days a week), and ate like dog s*** honestly. But a I ended up leaner than I ever was with a visible 6 pack and much bigger than I was before even while eating like s***. This is probably because I was just training that much it didn’t matter what I ate. Main thing is getting in the gym and getting consistent.

Man eat whatever’s comfortable, again since you’re a new lifter, you’re going to make progress at a much faster rate than someone who’s been training for multiple years. You will probably eat more since you’ll be hungrier after working out, but don’t worry because like I said, you’ll build out fast and most likely lose weight too, as for protein you can incorporate it into ur meals, (eggs, chicken etc) or just buy a tub. Either way I wouldn’t worry too much about calories or supplements and stuff right now man just worry about getting consistent in the gym, soon you’ll be addicted to the results if you stick with it. It’s crazy how much a difference you can make to your body in your first year of training.

I NEED ADVICE
Skinny fat people should ALWAYS begin by losing the stubborn fat first. If you don’t lose that fat to begin with it’s not gonna disappear any other way. Building muscle underneath won’t make fat appear less prominent. Bulking and eating at maintenance are a no. That fat will remain unless you burn it, and you can’t like move it elsewhere or reorganise it by eating on maintenance either.
Start a cutting diet, low carb, high protein but keep the focus on calories. Calculate your maintenance calories and eat at 200-500 below it. Start lifting weights as you plan to that’s a good idea bc that’ll burn calories too. But alongside side you absolutely need cardio to burn the bulk of that fat. Don’t worry about “burning muscle” that’s not an issue right now. You just need to burn the fat first and you can build a foundation for muscle at the same time by lifting if that makes sense.
You’ll probably need to read up more but essentially cut first to get lean so when you then want to start bulking you’ll have the physique and basic strength to get built.
what routine yall fav?
the no cardio one

I'd say depends on his body fat. If he's around like 20 % I'd say just go maintenance cals and do cardio a few times a week and he'll be fine. If he doesn't have significant amounts of fat cutting would be a waste of time. Plus a well executed cut takes a pretty good understanding of your body that a beginner wouldn't really have

I guess but it depends on whether he’s happy/unhappy with where the fat is distributed right now in which case he might wanna consider cutting rather than maintenance to sort that out first.
Agree heavily on the last point. When I started I wasn’t at all knowledgable on how to approach working out and I didn’t have anyone to tell me but now I understand my physique better it’s way easier.
Hitting a morning workout cuz I'm bored and have nothing else to do lmao

Agreed, @thesehoesaintshyt if you do end up cutting the key is gonna be hittin protein goals so you don't lose muscle/can pack on b***ies muscle and eating complex carbs to keep your energy levels up. There's some pretty knowledgeable people itt so keep asking questions if you got em

I have 2 options that im considering fam.
Option 1: Lose weight as much as possible for the next 2 months, 6-7 kg. No lifting weights.
Option 2: Eat all the protein needed, burn about 400 calories aday and lift weights. So i would eat around 1700-1800 calories and then do a little cardio and lift weights. That way I would lose about about half a kg a week.
Whats the best thing i can do?
