Yep. But this is assuming you don’t need to bulk up. Definitely lost some strength but aesthetically I’m happy with that trade off. But it’s weird doing some tasks now that were so easy before 💀

I still eat carbs as well but try to stay under 100g on days I’m not working out. And I have a cheat meal once a week so I don’t get mad cravings. It’s definitely something to try if you are plateauing.

But since I know most guys in here are trying to build muscle I’d tell them to be careful doing this. This is probably better if you’re cutting.

na wince the gyms been closed here over a year in canada i have been doing this breakfast at 11 lunch at 4 dinner at 8 or later sometimes, im only using what i got 52 adjustables, pull up bar etc an just doing that i got defined but i am still the same weight as before did not loose crazy weight

LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH

THERES NO POINT OF THROWING ON HEAVY WEIGHT IF YOUR FORM NOT DOWN

get that form down with low weight trust meeee

and most importantly have fun lifting

that is the plan so I’m happy to hear I’m on the right track.

    thanks for the help!!!

First and foremost I would ask u what routine u plan on running? There’s a lot of beginner ones you can find online but that’s super important to follow a plan with progression and not just winging it.

You also have the highest potential for gains as a beginner so make u sure u got a workout program that takes full advantage of that!

I’m doing the r/fitness beginner routine just for at the bare minimum a month just to get comfortable and make sure my form is good.

it’s 3x a week with upper body and lower body alternating.

Imagine not seeing every kind of exercise as a celebration of your healthy body

How do you do something consistently that you don't even like without it f***ing up your mental

Partial rep schemes have their place too esp for athletes focused on the most explosive portion of the lift

Okay but if you can't squat atg you have a pretty big issue with flexibility.

There is a time and a place for all types of squats. Being able to do them all is important. So many ppl just fall on their back like a turtle when they try and squat that low it's hilarious.

Tru I’m speaking more for athletes not the average turtle lifter

Developing a full range of motion comes first. Then once u have base u can explore partials and other techniques

    But I agree

Winging it is better than nothing.

I follow an overarching plan but don't get too caught up in the details.

Substitute exercises based on gym traffic and time constraints.

I kinda previewed something from a different phase of the program..today

oh wow dont do that s*** man thats worse then eating once a day

Nah not really. Had a full check up and blood test and my doctor was stunned. Everything was good. So it works

IF and moderate carb/low sugar is what’s usually recommended for people who are pre-diabetic or have diabetes so I wasn’t surprised to see good results.

I’m also not eating much processed foods when I do break my fast. Also making sure I eat a lot of veg. Cutting out fruit was tough though but I had to eat different fruits compared to my usual favourites.

Make sure you take your pre work out or pre work out supplements an hour after you eat to give your food time to digest. Otherwise you’re gonna throw up after a hard work out like I did today.

I hit my post workout which helps my body synthesize protein better after being taxed/worked hard, it puts your body in an anabolic state.

Literally 10 seconds after I hit the supplement I blew chunks LMAO s*** was nasty af, it’s cause my stomach was still slightly full from breakfast.

Gotta just wake up earlier I guess.

This stair master has been kicking my ass before I lift. I do 20 minutes and I’m pouring in sweat and out of breath for a while. Heart rate going crazy. Smh.

It’s the only way I’m gonna get this excess fat off though along with dieting. Wanna lose like 30 lbs.
