What angle are your arms? You might be going to straight out from your shoulders, your arms should be at a 45 degree angle from the side of your body.

Imo it all comes down to what you do with it. Like i said i use a regular degular jump rope my homie lent me.
Crossrope speed jump rope and a weighted jump rope is recommended but with a consistent hiit routine and my janky joint has made differences tbh.
