gonna work out with a girl for the first time ever
Congratulations how do you feel sir
What do you guys think more effective?
PPL or regular bro split? I've been doing bro split for years
I always read that PPL is more effective because you hit your muscles twice a week as opposed to bro split. But with ppl the volume is lower while with bro split volume is high. Every time I tried PPL, I didn't feel like I worked out enough after finishing my workout, I knew I had more in me left. But with bro split I'm always left exhausted and know my muscles are done and ready for the rest and growth.
Is there a significant difference between them two? What programs do you guys follow?

I feel the same way. Like for push, I see ppl do just bench and incline but i wanna hit the decline and do cable flys
For tris they do 1 exercise
Feel like ppl is prob better for beginners and get some strength first
Doing maintenance of 2000 calories and im having trouble cuz i been in a cut for so long
Im only 130lbs and using myfitnesspal mfers said to hit 200g protein to maintain that sounds insane
What are yall ratios for ur macros?
Found out my fitness tracker has been messing up my weekly goals and I’ve had to work twice as hard on runs/bike rides to reach my targets
Just glad it’s fixed now, has been like this for three weeks. I use H/R training on cardio and my H/R during a run is elevated to like high 150s-low 160s an hour at a time but it hasn’t been registering. So frustrating 😮💨

130 lbs you don’t need anywhere near 200 g protein. Especially to maintain, don’t even need half of that

If you don’t think you went hard enough up the weight or do more. You weren’t pushing yourself. Junk volume is pointless
AND WE BACK!
WSOTD:
Chest day!
Form was a lil rough, still fending off left shoulder soreness from the shots but just felt good to be back in my routine.

What you guys listen to in the gym that isnt music?
I used to listen to audiobooks but s*** got boring and couldnt really concentrate on the book
WSOTD:
NOBODY CAN STOP ME NOW
Had a moment during the 3rd set s*** was looking shaky had to go 5 lbs lighter and then gathered up the gumption to go back on my weekly pr on the last set.
I feel good asf about that.
If I’m trying to cut weight and improve my cardio is it counterproductive to do weight training? I’ve been trying to do both and having a hard time with energy levels being low. S***s exhausting. Wondering if it’s a matter of balance or if it’s a bit counterproductive
