when doing things such as seated cable row and seated cable lat pull down, how much “sway” in lack of a better word do y’all add to your movement ? i feel like with wider grip back lifts i can very easily target my back and feel the burn but with both close grip lat pull and cable row i feel like i’m not getting the burn i should be
our gym has different row machines which target different sections of the back so I rarely do the seated row by itself
are you trying to target a specific part of the back?

With closer grip, I use very minimal sway and let the weight extended my arms while still controlling the weight. Only thing moving is my elbows as I try to pull the weight with my lats. I roll my shoulders back to lock in tight and use a suicide grip to trick my mind not to pull through my biceps. I either use a v-bar pull-down or rope pulldowns

I try not to sway at all, my gym has a lot of grip attachments so I do everything back with wide grip, I'm not aware of benefits to close grip except maybe upper back focus?

I mix it up so it doesn’t get boring.
But I do finger curls, bench supported wrist curls, zottman curls, reverse bb curl, preacher hammer curls, preacher bicep curls with the ez and some rope pull exercises. I could probably add towels but that seems a bit much at a public gym lmao
My arms were far more developed but now that the forearms are catching up it looks more proportionate. Also the vascularity is crazy too

also going to failure on bicep ez bar/barbell curls helps when you grinding that last rep out for like 10 secs
