I was rooting for this film to win because if the fake outrage of journalists , and I'm glad it made a billion at the box office, but yeah, it coulda been tighter upon rewatch. Still fw it's success story tho

lol yeah lowkey the outrage from the journalists fuelled its success, on rewatch its a bit of hard watch, writing isn’t that good, themes the movie hints at are never explored, in my opinion its saving grace was the last 30/40 min

The cinematography is what made it stand out from just another edgy movie. You are right though, the writing could be a bit sloppy at times.

Writing could've been so much better. I still enjoy the visuals, and yeah those last 30 mins really elevate the film as a whole.

After you watch it multiple times, you start to realize how elevated this movie really is based off Joaquin Phoenix's performance. If it was anybody else in that role, movie would be much worse.
