You have to complete the Lunar Tears side-quest.
You start it by talking to him. You need to shoot his shopping car to stop him. After talking to him, you’ll need to interact with a Lunar Tear.

Also think you need to upgrade all weapons like Selfish said but I don't remember

On one of my attempts at this boss, I think I did one round of enemies too quickly or something cos it like took him out of synch and they started self destructing/running away after one turn instead was even more annoying than usual

I'll take the 2023 release date (assuming no more delays lol). Game actually looks a lot better than I thought it'd look. Think they did a really good job at translating the 2D artstyle from GBF into 3D.

Just looked at the gameplay video again and i'm actually impressed at how fluid and good the combat looks, the animations look cool as f***; I'm hype for this game again so it better come out this year.

I'm not familiar with Cygames but I'm assuming they don't have many 3D action games? (correct me if im wrong, I only know them for Versus and mobile gacha games) For this being one of their first attempts they have done an insanely good job

You are correct about Cygames. They mainly have mobile games, with Granblue Fantasy and Uma Musume being the bigger ones. They did have Dragalia Lost, which was an mobile action game with Nintendo (pretty similar to FFXIV tbh) and it might've been their only action game? I REALLY loved that game, but it got shut down last year

But yeah, they dropping Platinum and doing this in house with it looking this good is kinda crazy to see. Definitely think it was a good idea too because Platinum has not been the greatest studio recently lol. Relink sorta reminds me of Tales of Arise for some reason. I just hope it's MUCH better than that because Arise was not good!

Arise was the first thing I thought of when I seen this as well, combat and movement doesn't look as stiff tho + the combat is seamless and takes place in the open area instead of some kind of instance area
