It was pretty obvious in my opinion, those are just assumptions but towards the end :

Yuju was exhausted and Eunha took over the main vocal position since Sunrise, Yuju was also getting interested in other hobbies that had nothing to do with being an idol

Sowon went through a lot as the leader and through a scandal before disband, she was needed in Gfriend but she doesn't want to go through that again + Pushing 30

Yerin is more about being a visual than singing and dancing, (she's still very talented in those fields), master of the instagram game and lots of photo-shoot opportunities, and she can easily pursue a modelling/actress career now that she got the fame

The 3 others that are redebuting have always been passionate about different aspects of being an idol and are also two of the youngest.

Again just assumptions from what we've seen but this outcome makes a lot of sense to me

don't know how to explain exactly my problem w savage, the single

i guess first, its not really anything big but a pet peeve. savage when used is just deflating to begin with. all songs that used the term savage would be better if they didn't use it.

next, the brash juxaposition trick with each section gets old. if its experimental, its experimenting how often they can throw out a s*** arrangement and have ppl eat it up (result: very often. no sense in stopping).

ironically, aespa feels like the most quintessential kpop group atm, showcasing all the boring stereotypes and criticimsns non-followers have to blab out when discussing kpop.

that's just off a few listens. it's not a "bad" song, but its certainly not anywhere near a "masterpiece" as so many want to claim.

it does succeed in providing multiple decent 20, 30 sec segments which will likely do wonders on tik tok.

will likely have a blackpink effect for me in that i hear it so much, i'll develop some sense of attachment simply based on overexposure.
