I think Sgt Pepper is victim of the same phenomenon that often faces MBDTF.
It’s a clear classic but it’s not an interesting choice for their best album so after awhile people start downrating it.. and I don’t think thats right.

But personally I just don’t enjoy Pepper like that as I’m older.
Also leaving off Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane because they were used as singles instead? One of the worst decisions made in music.

MMT some songs straight up sound like they couldn’t been released in the last 20 or 30 years ish

if I remember correctly, everyone but Paul was hyped for the album concept
I know there’s an alternate timeline out there where Kanye ages gracefully and starts making soul albums in the vein of Stevie Wonder.
