For the most part yeah
Or even drop weight if I only reach 8-9 reps on a set
Progressive overload
ok trying this tomorrow
might be dumb to do this for leg day but whatever im turnt
generally yea
occasionally ill do something called “the tower of doom” where i go to failure on max weight, and then drop the weight down, again til failure, and repeat until i reach the lightest weight
i like ending my routine this way. keeps it fun and makes sure im gassed by the end.
This should be most of your routine
Not every time but killing them and doing low volume
screenshotted and will try tomorrow for leg day
typically it feels like im stopping at 1-2 reps before failure
Something to have very in mind is that beginners/or even people only 1 year in the gym
miscalculate failure a lot
Maybe u think u have 2 left but maybe u had 5
Truly knowing when are u gonna reach failure is something that takes time tho so dont beat urself about it and keep going hard

@nort i try to force partials multiple times to make sure i truly failed
Yup @nort sometimes u can blast em further with a lower weight until u fail
how do yall go about reps/sets then? yall like 8 or no
This should be most of your routine
well s*** i feel like i dont see others to that!

8 is a good number but if you’re not failing in thst range youre going too light
@early u notice how sometimes Trickless Air be worth an absurd amount of points

That’s why they’re not big

on my last set i go into my little muscles just give out 🙈 regardless of pain
only time pain really makes me quit is on biceps honestly
Yeah, Ive been toying around with all angles, grips, placements etc etc for the cable raises. Whatever I can to lessen my traps involvement.
Good

havent tried this yet

Yeah for muscle growth doing 3x8 with the same weight, even if the technique is good means u are leaving a lot of reps behind
I think limiting urself to a number (in this case 8) its not benefitial, i think working on a range of reps its better
So u do for example cable raises with 20, and when u reach 12 reps (or more because its lateral raises crine) u try to up the weight next session

ts stupid

too light
been wondering if ive been going too heavy all this time
That’s why they’re not big
whoa..

No he shouldnt be doing drop sets every time he will stagnate fast
He needs to start working on a range of reps and if he sees he is at rep 8 and still got more left, continue doing
too light

Tbh you can do higher reps at lower weights if you want as long as your failing
Failing on incremental weight increases ( over time ) is like the formula

ive been tryna do progressive overloading with weight instead of reps cus i hate taking too long on an exercise

I explained myself after
read mf

I meant drops after he already didnt have any left at that weight anyways
U shouldn’t be dropping if u have reps in reserve
