depends on what you looking for tbh. You want older classics? New stuff? I'd say Saga of the Swamp Thing is a great place to start, to see the power of the medium

All Star is a really great place to start. The Superman Rebirth run by Tomasi was also amazing

i started getting into Marvel comics last year through House Of X / Powers Of X, then the comics which stemmed from that & misc recommendations from my cousins (lifelong comics fans) since then

    thoughts:

this recent Mutants run has been nothing short of amazing

the recent Venom run that just ended with Venom 200 was fantastic as well

Gwenpoole is a really cool character who needs to be present in more comics

they need to finish up the trilogy of comics that feature Voyager, and i think Gorr in Thor4 is gonna take influence from No Road Home

as a fan of the MCU, it’s been really cool reading the source material & seeing where the inspiration for the movies/shows comes from (i.e. Vision (2016) and House Of M being huge influences on WandaVision) & how the MCU changes things up from the source material while still drawing influence

Fam, what Hickman has done with X-Men is so f***ing amazing. It’s really nice to see them become so popular again.

What’s your fave book you’ve read so far?

Are you into DC at all?

i reeeeally liked King In Black & the whole Eddie Brock story that lead up to it, and it’s fresh on my mind, so i gotta go with that. GOTG is also really good right now. out of the X comics, X-Factor & Hellions have been my favorites

& i like the animated DC shows/movies but not their live action stuff for the most part (Doom Patrol was crazy though), and i haven’t read their comics. the Red X comics interest me the most, but i’m waiting for more issues to come out before i start reading

Right on. If you want some good DC s*** that doesn’t require a lot of previous knowledge of characters lmk. I usually tend to side with DC in terms of quality for their comics and stuff throughout the years. Marvel has had some bangers too though

  • Jul 4, 2021

I am at least 6 months behind on comics

  • Jul 10, 2021

Ignoring the kickstarter thing, this looks interesting but could have been better with a brand new protagonist.

  • Jul 13, 2021

anyone ever read the darkness comics ?

  • Delete this I’ve sent you a pm already before lol

Been reading through Grant morrison's Doom patrol and Moore's swamp thing for a while. Single handedly got me back into comics. Mostly used to read current marvel stuff and when the tie ins and reboots got to heavy I lost interest.
Also The immortal hulk is amazing. Need more returns to form from marvel instead of poor attempts at modernizing
